ABOUT KAPPA RHO

In the mid 1990s, a group of students at American University wanted to experience one of the more rewarding experiences known to man: rushing a fraternity. Yet none of the fraternal organizations at American University exemplified their core set of values and ideals. However, they did know of one organization that put values above all else and had the reputation to back it up: Sigma Chi.
On January 25, 1996, the colony, “Sigma Chi Rho” was founded. After going through the rigorous process of what it truly means to be a Sigma Chi, and getting the support from the International Fraternity and the University, Kappa Rho’s founding fathers officially initiated themselves on October 9, 1999. The Kappa Rho Chapter of Sigma Chi was born.
